Who We Are
We’re a bunch of sinful people who love Jesus, and – with His help – do our best to love each other. Our ultimate goal is to know Jesus more, and become more like Him through the study of the Bible, and the power of God’s Spirit living inside of us.
We’re not really a denomination, but we’re not opposed to denominations either. We only get bummed when – within the church – there is so much division over issues that, ultimately, don’t matter.
Our sincere belief is that unconditional love (something the Bible calls “agape”) is the only foundation for Christian fellowship. Without it, we have no right to call ourselves Christians.
If you’re looking for a place to meet Jesus and get to know Him more, we invite you to come by and visit us some time. We’ve got something for everybody! See our MINISTRIES section below for a place to plug-in and get connected.
We Believe
Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are not a denominational fellowship, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have lead to division of the Body of Christ.
We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians
We believe worship of God should be spiritual; therefore, we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct worship.
We believe worship of God should be inspirational; therefore, we give a great place for music in our worship.
We believe worship of God should be intelligent. Therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of God's word that He might instruct us how He would be worshiped.
We believe worship of God is Fruitful. Therefore, we look for his love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshipping Him.
